My first exposure to Video Games (The Early 2000s)
One of the first instances of playing video games happened to be when I was spending time at a friend's house. There, they were playing Mario Party 5 on the Nintendo GameCube. Of course, I didn't play the game since I was only 6 and there were others playing it. I just enjoyed watching them play and seeing the game in motion.
A few years later, my parents gave me a GameCube for playing games on it. Soon I was playing classic games like Super Smash Bros. Melee and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I remember a bunch of video games from that era of gaming in the Early 2000s.
Getting More Exposure to Games (Mid 2000s to 2010s)
During the Mid 2000s, my family decided to get me an Xbox 360. Just like the Gamecube, I remember playing a bundle of games throughout middle school and high school. A bunch of those games were First Person Shooters, where some of the nicer ones were released on that console for fun memories.
It's also thanks to the Xbox 360 that I was able to get a better grasp on playing games with a controller (and with taking care of them as well...). I wanted to try other game systems due to games that were available on those platforms. Unfortunately, funds weren't easy to come by during Middle School and High School. But that changed after I got out of High School.
Where I am With Video Games (Late 2010s to Present)
After I graduated High School, one of the things I wanted to do was build a gaming PC. That was simply due to prebuilt ones being too expensive. I eventually saved up the money to get all the parts I needed and build my PC.
Ever since then, I've been playing games with that same PC I built (with help). It doesn't have up-to-date specs, but I intend on building another Gaming PC in the future for newer games when I get the opportunity to do so after the Pandemic once things start to settle down.
