I went to Seattle with my High School's concert band back in Spring of 2014. It was due to a national concert band competition that the band was invited to. Our concert band was pretty excited to go, especially me and my friends considering we had never vistited that location before.
Our band ended up performing fairly well during the competition. When we attended the awards ceremony, we ended up winning the main competition along a few other rewards alongside it.
What did you do around Seattle?
Other than perform for the concert band competition over in Seattle, I visited a couple places around there. One of those locations was their central market place. At that marketplace, I remember going to an Italian pasta bar a couple of times and seeing some fish being tossed around in the marketplace.
Another place I remember visiting was an island nearby Seattle that was accessible by ferry. I went there with the school concert band for the award ceremony. It was at that location where I tried freshly grilled fish that was cooked over a bonfire indoors. I think that event was the most memorable thing that happened during my trip over there.
Are there any other things you want to say about Seattle?
Overall, I though Seattle was a neat place to visit. The atmosphere felt fairly busy considering I was in more of a city environment that what Fresno usually has. The marketplace was probably the most lively part of the city due to the various businesses that handle their local commerce there.
I probably wouldn't have any complaints visiting Seattle again, but I still call Fresno my home. If anyone I personally knew asked if I would want to visit Seattle again, I would consider it. I'd recommend checking it out once and seeing how you feel about the place.
