What Music Means to Me

Everything in Life Has Meaning, Including Music

Music Can Evoke Emotions Within People

One of the great pleasures from music is the emotion it can emit to an individual. Whether it be through action music or somber background music, these various tones can evoke different feelings to people (myself included).

Whenever I'm in an energetic mood, I usually listen to fast-paced symphonic metal. When I need to slow down and relax, I play video game music with a softer tone to the song. No matter what the song, I can always find some sort of tune to fit whatever mood I'm in.

Music Can Help Make the World Flow More Smoothly

While music can be enjoyed in concerts or from your own home, it can also get the world to move a bit more smoothly to make the world not seem so bleak. Without music, the world feels empty and lacking vibrant noise. Of course, you don't want too much noise. Otherwise your hearing might be affected in a negative direction.

When I listen to any music, sometimes the world slows down around me until I notice another individual. There are other times when music can help speed things up, like playing background music when working on a homework assignment. Overall, there always seems to be a place for music to fit in to make the world go at whatever pace you want to go (Not all the time though. It does help a little bit.).

So What Does All of This Add Up To For You?

Music is really special to me for many reasons. As I stated above, it can evoke many emotions and help with how you are flowing in the world through audio expression. Everyone has their own reasons to have music in their lives, but I wanted to at least show a little bit of it to you all.

At the end of the day, music can do many things for everyone. Sometimes it can help people throughout tough times in their lives or breathe more life into an aspect of society that might seem mundane. No matter what the reason, I hope everyone can find meaning in music that doesn't destroy their lives. After all, music does make life a little nicer at the end of the day.
