Where did you go to High School?
The high school I went to was Central High School West Campus, a high school within the Central Unified School District. It was connected with another high school campus called Central High School East Campus. I attended Central West (the nickname for my school) from 2011-2015.
That high school was the high school that some of my friends attended when they were in high school. Plus, it was relatively close to where I live, so getting there wasn't difficult.
What do you remember most about that campus?
I attended both concert and marching band at Central High School. However, the elective was at Central East, so I needed to go between Central West and East depending on what classes were in my schedule. The transit to Central East for band classes were usually fun, and I got to see some of my band buddies during that time.
I also remember that I was a part of marching and concert band for high school. In marching band, I remember the parade marches were alright, but the field shows were much more fun. Concert band was also pretty fun, meaning it was my favorite part of band. I still remember attending 2 national events within my junior and senior years of high school for concert band (our school won both of them in a couple categories).
Any other thoughts on high school?
During that time in my life, I was working on trying to adjust to having a social life considering I didn't focus on having one throughout elementary school and middle school. It was also during that time that I was getting used to having a smartphone around, which changed how I approached handling situations.
I'll never forget some of the moments I had around that high school. Jokes that were said to each other, teachers that were fun in classrooms at times, and other things that I may not have mentioned about this place. I hope the high school gets better as time goes on.
