College

Where life guides you further to find your calling...

What college do you attend?

The college I currently attend is Fresno City College. I've been attending this college since 2015. I have yet to graduate since I am still trying to figure out what I want to do for a career. Nevertheless, my time here at the college so far has been fairly productive.

Currently (as of Early 2021), the campus is closed to students due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, I have had to take courses that are completely online. When the campus was open to students, I normally would commute to the campus and attend classes in the morning and early afternoon.

What classes have you taken there?

I've attended a decent variety of classes over at Fresno City College. I was originally taking psychology courses, but after seeing how tricky getting a career in psychology was, I decided to tackle social work courses instead. I'm almost done with those, but after seeing how emotionally demanding the careers in social work are plus the difficulty with online class setup due to COVID, I decided to start tackling Computer Information Tech courses.

As you can see, my college journey has been a bit crazy. However, I believe that I will find the career path I can go towards for the future. After all, the future is not set in stone. So I will stay true to seeing what I can possibly do for a sustainable career.

Anything else you want to mention about the college?

Overall, I haven't really had a bad experience at Fresno City College. I believe it is a great place for those who want to see what they can do for a career. That can either be getting their foot in the door with classes, or staying long enough to acquire a degree/certificate in whatever field they want to pursue.

It's because of this mindset that I'm still at Fresno City College. Will I get a degree/certificate or end up going a completely different direction? Honestly, I don't really know. But I am willing to see what the future has in store for me as I take courses at Fresno City College.
